Wonderful World Cover

It Could be a Wonderful World

In 1967, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original Little Songs, Argosy produced an album called It Could be a Wonderful World using new recordings of songs from the two original series (Little Songs on Big Subjects and Little Songs About UN). Leon Bibb and Ronnie Gilbert are the lead singers, and Robert De Cormier is the conductor. The wonderful cover was designed by Leo Leonni.

The album uses humor and charm to fight against bigotry and for a better world. Here are some of the nice things people have said about, and awards given to, Little Songs On Big Subjects and Little Songs About UN.

It Could be a Wonderful World and its songs are now available through many fine distributors of digital music, including iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify. These recordings are meticulous digital restorations, done by Irwin Chusid, of the original 1967 recordings in all their monophonic glory.

Enjoy!
